Each of the 3 sets contain 10 beginning readers with 4 pages to copy, for a total of 120 pages of content. The first set in the series focuses on three-letter words, sight words, and short vowel sounds. The books were created to be used with beginning readers who are just learning to merge letter sounds to form words. At the beginning of each book, the word endings/families or vowel sounds that are used throughout are listed. That way, you can easily preview the new endings and vowel sounds in order to better prepare them to read the book. Each beginning reader book builds upon skills learned in the previous books. Any words that may be unfamiliar to the child or that may need to be reviewed before reading are also included in the “New Words” section.

The second set was created for advancing readers who need more practice reading and are ready for more challenging material. At the beginning of each book, the word endings/families or vowel sounds that are used throughout are listed. That way you can easily preview the new endings and vowel sounds in order to better prepare them to read the book. Each beginning reader book builds upon skills learned in set 1 and the previous books in this set. Any words that may be unfamiliar to the child or that may need to be reviewed before reading are also included in the “New Words” section.

Assembly Directions

Each book consists of 12 pages of print for the child, but only 4 pages to copy. To make each book, print pages 1 and 2 and then print pages 3 and 4 on the back. Cut the pages horizontally, then assemble.
